EDAC StaffDana OversonDana is a longtime resident of Apache County. She and her husband Ross live in St. Johns raising their three children. As the Economic Development Director and Community Development Block Grant Program Administrator, Dana represents Southern Apache County regionally. Marketing the incorporation and county communities, workforce development, tourism support, business expansion and retention projects, historic preservation projects and applying for and administering the CDBG grant program offered through the state are some of the tasks Dana is currently working on. Dana is also a coordinator for EDAC Special Projects, and sits on the Infrastructure, Communication, and Funding/Finance Committees. "I have a passion for the quality of life our region has to offer," says Dana, "and I'm here to help to ensure growth in a positive way wherever I can." She participates in the NAVIT Health Related Occupations program and will be venturing off to college in the fall of 2008 studying to be a physical thearapist. Brandis is an administrative assistant to Dana with special projects and Jayne with CDBG general office duites. Jayne PulsipherJayne is a lifetime resident of Arizona and currently resides in Apache County. Five children, two grandchildren, church involvement and a family ranch continue to bring richness to her life. Jayne volunteered many years in the St. Johns Fine Arts Association coordinating with others to bring many professional performing artists to the school children and the communities of Southern Apache County. She has a true desire to improve the communities in our region. Jayne joined the EDAC staff an Administrative Assistant in the Community Development Block Program. Her grant background working with Fine Arts programs is sure to be an asset to our corporation. EDAC Board of DirectorsEDAC policy and direction is set forth by a Board of Directors. The Board consists of a broad range of civic and business leaders from the communities of Southern Apache County. Board Members serve for 2-year terms, and officers are elected from the Board. The Board of Directors meets monthly to set policy and priorities, and implementation is turned over to Director Dana Overson and her staff. Committees made up of Board Members and interested residents also meet separately to work on specific aspects of EDAC, such as marketing, advertising, and business recruitment. Individuals wishing to contribute their talents to the economic growth of Southern Apache County are encouraged to participate in the committees or as Board Members or EDAC.
